​The first prize winner of the 2020 National Science and Technology Progress Award

INTRODUCTION

WEDO Biomedical provides orthopaedic medical devices leveraging high-end medical 3D-printing technology. It has around 20 products, including 11 various 3D-printed porous titanium alloy products, 4 3D-printed biodegradable products, and 5 3D-printed Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) products. Covering areas such as spine, sports medicine, trauma, and joints.

Clinical and R&D progress

❏Around 400 cases of clinical implantation of Class III medical devices (including standard products and custom-made). About 3,000 clinical cases of Class II medical devices such as surgical models and surgical guides .
❏A total of 150 hospitals in 17 provinces and municipalities across the country.
❏ 2 products "Porous Spinal Titanium Fusion Cage " and custom-made "3D-Printed Porous Titanium Alloy Artificial Vertebral Body" are  obtain China’s Class III Medical Device Registration Certificate by the end of 2023.
❏ 5 products have completed clinical trials, and are expected to apply for certificates in the next three years.
